Warm up

In groups of fourpass ball in sequence round group. Progress to moving into space,to receive next pass. Take 2 or 3 touches to control before passingon.

 

 

Revise closepassing.

Revise role of adefender.

Introduce longpasses.

 

Play game as card,ask children to investigate ways to get the ball past thedefender;

w  Shortpasses across corner of square. (but no score)

w  Long,fast paced passes, across to other side.

w  High orlofted pass.

 

Discuss how thedefenders can make it difficult for the passers;

w  Try toanticipate pass & move quickly to intercept
