I can form my letterscorrectly. | SharedTime: As a class readthrough the poems Night and Stars by Stanley Cook, and The Nightwill Never Stay by Eleanor Farjeon and Star Light, Star Bright.Discuss the meanings of these poems and ask a variety of childrento read these poems to the class, using expression and clarity intheir voices. Tell the children they will be performing the poemsin groups for the rest of the class tomorrow. Ensure the childrenhave a good understanding of what these poems mean. Activity:Y/G/B -Children to rewrite the poems in their books, illustrate themappropriately and start to learn the poem. PLENARY Ask somechildren to discuss their illustrations of the poem and why theyhave chosen those particular drawings. |
